got the ih-100 all finished and ready to mow hay, hooked up to the Minneapolis moline m5 and plugged in hydraulics, test run and everything seems nice and smooth. the temptation to at least cut the outside round is hard to resist but the weather guessers are calling for thunder storms and rain later this afternoon so will hold off  some pics of the set up.

(quoted from post at 16:16:36 07/27/18) I suspect , being that far back - less dust/chaff for the operator ?

I have never had a dust/chaff problem using the sickle mower bob, the fields are 60/40 alfalfa/timothy and when my neighbor cut it with his hay bine there was a lot of chaff and leaf loss but the sickle mower just drops it flat on the ground. I overhauled the ih-100 the last couple of weeks and this will be the first cut with it so looking forward to see how it do's.

Think it is the same thing my dad had. Is this the model that "breaks
away" when it gets plugged up? They work very nicely in straight
grass. Don't go too fast. Just mow along nicely. When you fold and
unfold the bar for goodness sake watch out for your fingers!!!!

it is a break away model jeff, and finger placement is number 1!! I keep both hands on the back bar as far from the sections as I can and just walk it up and down, i'll be cutting alfalfa/timothy mix that's quite thick so I won't be setting any speed records.
