Her tires! I think she drove through every mud hole she saw. Oh well they match the ol' tractor better now. Got done and headed home just in time. Good hard rain rolled through. Totally missed our home again! Grass cutting job was 45 miles away ,lush green grass, mud puddles,and our grass crunches when you walk on it! Grandma drove the Ford. Older son drove the lawn tractor, younger son fished in the creek. And I got the weed eating for 4 hours!!!!

Good lookin' boys ...... you could almost believe they were in a time warp since they look like kids back in the 1950's ....... except for that darned hand-held electronic device (tablet I guess you'd call it). I guess they gotta keep in touch with their friends when they're so close to home .... ha !!!
 
Break them in right. Dont want that new rubber thinking its got an easy life. We got more rain. Started right as I finished up a yard. About 0.35 inches.
 
It's a constant struggle,they love their cell phones. But when we asked em to they will bust butt working.
 
can't run a hose to the gardens? they are closer to your house than ours is, though we use a barrel for the rare times garden needs extra water. too bad to lose all those nice plants you had.
 
Hey Bill, tomatoes never did much this year. Nice plants but not much good fruit. We are watering the watermelon patch and the peppers. Even the rain barrels are getting dry! Odd year very cold April and too hot in May. Couldn't win! How's things in NY?
 
Robcons, we were in Walmart and it
poured down rain. Lucky it rained
5 miles away at our house too!!
And late enough in the day to not
ruin a good work day
 
our corn looks super. field corn is tasselling. (so far)we have gotten enough rain to push things along. the garden is slow to get tomatoes or cucumbers. a couple peppers so far, but garden didn't get planted until memorial day. my potatoes on the flat also look good so far. i plowed out some tennis-ball sized spuds when i was trying to cultivate them.
the south to north rain trains in the northeast the last couple days have missed us so far.
