I have a B7200HST (4 wd) that seems to be getting
louder with the HST whine ... hurts my ears at
times. I mow at 2000 rpm and like the fuel efficiency
at that speed. Tractor has 996 hrs. Is there some
additive for trans that will help quieter that high pitch
noise??

SECOND QUESTION: My neighbor / cousin has the
same model tractor and he was able to add power
steering. Are those add on PS kits still available?
He doesn?t remember where he got the kit for his
tractor.

We both enjoy our tractors ... have been relatively
trouble free.

Thanks ... Rick. (Winston-Salem, NC area)

I have a 3301 with hst, in low range I get some noticeable whine, in the mid or high range it is a lot quieter. I use the kubota premium udt fluid in it. It is due a fluid change and I plan on using kubota super udt which claims to reduce or eliminate whine.

Snoop Thousand hours , yes some hydro will begin to whine louder. Twenty two hundred would not hurt the engine or mower and might reduce the whine. As one of the other posters noted KUBOTA SUPPER UDT is also quitter to run in the HYDRO. Will it completely do away with it ? I doubt it but does have an additive package designed for high speed hydrostatic operation.

Now the power steering kit, long gone from KUBOTA stock but I will check with a dealer or two that might have one. Funny you ask I actually just sold the last kit I had two weeks ago.

Thanks for replies... I?ll remember the genuine Kubota fluid when I change oil this fall.

I would really appreciate a good lead or two on a PS kit...

Ben, my 2001 3010 just started doing the same thing. I hope we get a response.

Ben I am not taking a duck here but just too much to type to make sure you understand what is going on with you fuel shut off and proper understanding of what you need to check. If you will click on the jm. and send me an e mail with a contact phone number I will give you a call and talk you thru checking it out. jm.

I have a 92 B7200 HST with 1800 hrs on it. It doesn't have a tack, but I mow (60" deck) with the throttle wide open in low range only. It does not have any excessive hydro noise.
