Auger Bin, Parts Hunt...

I've got a SnowCo 700 AugerBin.

All the bearings are shot, and the bottom auger is trashed. WHERE and HOW do I find a new auger? I feel like it is probably going to cost me a lot more than the augerbin is even worth, so a used one would be better.

I was wondering though, has anyone ever added to an auger? MOST of it is in fine shape, but the last maybe 2 feet is pretty my gone, and then the 2 flat fins/paddles on the end are all messed up. Those would be a very easy fix though.

Anyways, any help would be great! Thanks!! Bryce

Bryce Your making this hard. LOL The shafts should be fine and just the flighting is worn/bad. You just cut the old flighting off and replace it. You can find hundreds of web sites to buy flighting. You just need to know the Pitch( number of flights per foot) outer diameter, direction of rotation( Clockwise or counter clockwise) and shaft size. You can get the flighting in five foot lengths and they can be shipped UPS. They do not cost that much. Six inch regular flighting is about $10 a foot.

Do you happen to have a place that does bin repair in you area? They prob have short pieces of fighting laying around, then fix it like JD seller said.

I don't care about auger bin parts , but let us see pics of your split bumper Camaro 1970 and 72 Chevelle what else are you hiding from us? LOL

Most welding shops can re-flight an augur or you can take it to any grain bin dealer and they will repair it for you.

If you want to repair the auger yourself, get some poster board, start cutting and wrapping it along a good section of flight, making a pattern to transfer to your new material.

You can get new flighting for the auger and a bearing is a bearing just take the old one along when you want a new one
