What is this emblem

In this picture showed earlier today this Fordson has this emblem on the front. He had another picture posted of a 4x4 Ferguson.
So I was floating around the Internet looking at 4x4 Fergusons as they always interested me. I saw one on utube that was a Selena conversion
plowing and possibly at a museum. It had the same emblem. It also gad Perkins in the emblem. I could not tell if it was one emblem or the
circles were over the Perkins emblem.
Does anyone know what this circle emblem is or what it means? Thanks, John

Hi Delaware Surfman.

We had a lot of E27N fordson tractors here in Australia that came from England. They either had the four cylinder ford engine or could be powered with a Perkins P6 diesel. The ones with the P6 had the circle emblem on the front grill, have also seen this on Massey Harris tractors with a Perkins diesel in them as well.

I was also interested in how they powered the front axle on the Ferguson.

Must have somehow been tied in to the ground speed PTO.

But would they have still had use of the regular PTO?
 
The book says this Roadless converted E27N with a high clearance front end was developed in 1951 for locust control in Tanganyika (now Tanzania). It was fitted with 11x36 inch tires all around for greater mobility in wet and muddy areas
 
Perkins badge, known as the 'Square Deal All Round' emblem. Originals are now very collectable (and expensive).
 
If the Ferguson was pre FE-35 like a TEA-20 then they didn?t have ground speed and used a ?sandwich? box. Basically an extra gearbox that they inserted into the tractor making it 4? (ish) longer. This require a drive coupler extension and the took the drive for the front axle from that. Sam

I wonder how that worked out? A WWII front axle is pretty wimpy on a Jeep, let alone on the front of a tractor that size.
And with tires that tall it will break even easier.
