John Deere 4020 load bushing oversized

Noticed when changing load control bushing I went back with new bushings and one was loose fitted I am wandering what to do to fix this problem bushing aren’t suppose to be loose they should be tight. I see where jd offers oversized but idk what or how to tell what I need or what I need to do

NOT sure how much is covered in the OEM shop manual and I haven't taken the time to look.

You might try contacting Boling machine, a company that makes aftermarket loadshaft seals and bushings, and see what they can tell you.

Your JD dealer has oversize to fix the problem, think there are two sizes, they might send both with you to see which one works. Might need some liquid steel or JB Weld also just to fill the voids around the bushing. When I was at the dealer in the late 90's Deere had a tool to bore the hole to oversize, but it was a traveling tool being sent from dealer to dealer when somebody needed it.

you should ream the hole and get proper bushing, don't think JB would hold very well in that application.

Just found out that dad had never changed out the shaft he just always changed bushings and seals so would a worn out shaft cause bushing to fit lose

Shaft wear has nothing to do with bushing fitting loose in trans case. Trans bush bore oversize is the reason I was taught to only replace bushings if needed.
