1949 Case VAC fuel tank size

So I use this VAC to rake hay with and will be going to the neighbors to do the raking. I'd like to know how much gas the tank will hold so I know I will have enough to get the job done and not run out of gas. I do not want to have to walk over a mile to get gas because of running out.
Thanks

10 gallon tank. Probably not going to take but 2 or 3 gallons, but I would just take another gallon along in case.

I always carry a 2 gal gas can with me on all my tractor when I do things just in case. Learned years ago if I was going to run out of gas it was always at the end of the field so the walk was always the longest it could be

so ummmm, how many acres you raking? how many acres you gonna rake in an hr.? dump 5 gallon jug in and then one more and probably be full. presume the tank is darn near empty now. cant be burning a gallon an hr. have ph. in pocket to call mrs. incase you do run out and dont have to walk. but it sounds like a grade 3 problem solving quizz our teacher would give us.

Why do you always answer my post with a answer that is belittling and flat out useless?? What did I ever do to you to deserve such disrespect from you. If you cannot answer a simple question and a respectful way please do not bother to answer at all. I do not answer you post with disrespect and I feel I should get the same from you

You were asking the same question about B/A yesterday. Why not just fill the tank then siphon out the extra when you are done if you don't want to leave it in there?

I want enough in it to do the job and not so much as to have gas splash out of the tank vent. The neighbors field is rough so I want enough gas to do the job but not so much as to cause problems either. Knowing the tank size tell me how much I can put in and yet not have a splash problem.

Gee, why can't you just look in the tank and fill it almost to the top. Or use a paint stick to check? Why make it hard?

I'm not making it hard, but you guys are trying to make it hard. I ask a simple no bull question and get bull type answers. I ask so I know how much I will put in and till I knew it was 10 gals I did not know how much I would need to add simple as that. 2 gal would not have been enough but 7 would be to much.

W.T.H.... i was just answering your question. where is my answer useless??? how is it belittling???. i gave a perfectly honest answer. if my kid asked me a question like that i would give him same answer, sure dont know what ur problem is , as you always have to have the last say in the matter. as i said ur dealing with a grade 3 problem, that a 5 gallon gas can and a dip stick can fix. so why u even asking on here .. i guess u will get comments not suited to your liking. no way i would even think of posting a question like that. now its 2 gallons is not enough gas and 7 gallons is too much! holy man that is plain silly . better have some cheeze with ur whine now.

so maybe use the correct gas cap to prevent the slash problem, or make sure the cap gasket is on it. i have yet to see gas splashing out of a factory gas cap. you think when they built tractors, the tractors sure were not meant to drive on pavement.

well if im going south,... might be to see why your making such a fuss about gas and a tank, and bring you a new gas cap, and drop off the cheeze!
