Super c won't shut off

I know this has been discussed before. Last year dad put a new generator on the super c. Works fine starts fine but won't shut off with switch. Finally looked more replaced switch figured that was issue same problem. Anyone else know where to look. He wired it exact how it was before marked evetything

Some how you are back feeding power to the coil. Need to get wiring diagram.

did he replace with a generator or change to an alternator? Many people use the term interchangeably, however they are different and must be wired in different ways. It is common for alternator conversions to have the keep running problem unless the correct wiring procedures are used. If it is a generator there are wiring problems or a bad switch.

If the switch doesn't kill the spark, it must be bad or miswired OR ELSE its actually a 3 Wire Alternator NOT a Generator and it wasn't wired correctly using a diode or resistor in the alternators initial excitation circuit which prevents backfeeding voltage to the coil allowing it to fire even if switch is off..............

I'm gonna do more digging with my dad on what exactly he did and bought generator wise. Thank you all for info.
