I posted this on the MF page with no response. I know someone out there knows the answer!
I'm looking for a loader for a MF 255. I have found one for a MF 270. What I can find is tractors very much the same except the wheelbase on the 270 is 2" longer. Will it work on my 255? Your wisdom is needed. Thank you in advance....

Is the loader in question an MF loader that came with the 270?

Without knowing what brand/model the loader is, not sure if anyone can give a definite answer.

That said, it sounds [i:8b72102bcc]reasonable[/i:8b72102bcc] to me that it would work. ...But then, the ONLY thing I know about MF tractors is that I had a TO-30 MANY years ago, and even then only for a couple of years.

2" difference in wheelbase doesn't sound like much, but who knows? I'm just [b:8b72102bcc]guessing[/b:8b72102bcc] it'll fit.

What brand of loader is it? if its a MF loader it should have a plate with the model number, and serial number of the loader is. That's kind of valuable information before someone can give you an accurate answer.

806 ...... you have found one but haven't bought it yet, is that right? I guess if you had it at home then a person could figure out if it would work or not. Maybe some simple measurements would give you an estimate as to what might work or not. If not a perfect custom fit, the obviously some cutting and fabricating is going to be needed.

Mite be better to look into a aftermarket loader, that has a kit to fit either tractor. Then you could see the difference. Also could look into just trading for a 4?4 tractor with a loader already on it. Hydro, joy stick, cab. You just live once! LOL
