A little ot. Cattle pic

Wife is very excited as she has Miniature Scottish Highlander cattle and she now has her first calf out of her small herd. Cute little booger. Wife has a warped sense of humor as the mother was named Salisbury. Last pic is to keep tractor related is my son working on his farmall a.

My wife likes to play with calves when they are younger.
So she wouldn't get to attached she named then different cuts of meat. Patty for a Patty melt Del for delmonico and so on.
Calves after they get going a week or so sure are fun to watch playing.

When I was a teen and in a whole lot better and in faster shape you can run down a calf for maybe two or three days. After that forget it. They raise their tail and away they go. What is really amazing is after momma pops them out and cleans them up, those blasted things are up and wobbling around in not even an hour. Couple of minutes latter they know where the faucets are too. This is a little nasty sounding. The first time a calf happily walks into the electric fence and gets knocked on its butt. You gotta chuckle a little and think to yourself ,just remember that!

The Scottish lowlander is an angus but dang that guys cute thanks for posting.
By the way a guy i milked for told his wife he named his cows after old girlfriends drove her nuts told me he just made that up and back in the day testing milk you could always tell what tv show the farmers watched by the cows names.

Nice to see young fellas working on tractors! The calf looks like it's smiling for the picture there lol
