We went to an estate auction years ago, just outside of Montgomery, MN. That man had collected steam engines - a lot of them. Sadly, that old plot of ground is now a housing development.
Anyway, those things sold crazy-high! If I remember right, one sold for well over 200K and one for over 300K... plus countless others which we did not stay to watch sell. Just out of curiosity, it would have been interesting to know the total sales for that entire auction - because that rust was bringing good money!

I live just down the road from there, he had some old and rare ones in there ! As long as I can remember I loved going past there and seeing all those old rigs, many were right along the road.
