Dad's 4320 Update

Had to do a little improvising but got the 4320 running. The waterpump is stuck for some reason so I had to loosen the alternator belts. The wire to the diesel pump is messed up somehow. When the key is off it is hot at the pump. When you turn the key on, you loose power at the pump. Jumped to pump solenoid wire to the hot side of the alternator and she fired right off. Finally the hydraulics pumped up and all worked. Even the blower fan works and most of the lights. Tach works and it has 4800 hours. Excited about getting it running.

It is nice to be able to get family tractors back. A few years ago I was able to buy the 1968 4020 that my Dad bought new at the sale of the neighbor that bought it from Dad. Good luck. Tom

Key switch might be bad inside . The one on my 4020 started doing funny things after taking a volt meter to it To find out it was bad I replaced it and fixed the problem . Have the mice 🐁 takin up residency?

My Uncle Guy ordered one new while firestone I think it was was on strike. It was shipped in on a railroad flatcar with no tires or steering wheel !
