JD what model and year

I have this picture hanging in my garage that I got as a gift I know a lot about JD but any ideas on this one ?..thanks

Forgive if I?m wrong, not really up on some of the odd John Deere?s. That looks like a mid 30s GPO. The regular GP has a higher arch in the front axle. The orchard would be shorter as the one in the picture.
 
Are you talking about the H standard my friend built? Looks like it should have came from factory like that.
 
It is not a GP but a GPO as being built low like that. The GP was a cultivating tractor for a 3 row cultivatoe with one row under the center of the tractor. Same thing with a 60 row crop or a 60 orchard, same basic parts but still built differently for a different job. Those GPO were very rare when new. About the only thing scarcer in GP line would be a wide tread GPO.
