Allis Chalmers L59 Woods Mower

TASKY

I picked up a L59 Woods Mower for my Allis Chalmers C. The idler and mounting frame fit a B part number 9376. I plan to cut and lengthen the B frame to fit my C unless someone has one for a C part number 9201 that wants to sell or trade mounting frames.

Does anyone have the measurements from the very edge that bolts to the final drive casings to the face of the downward facing tabs to mount the deck?

Is the deck centered under the tractor or is it offset?

When I pull up on the raising arm it looks like it is pulling up and at an angle. Is this right?

I know the rear pulley alignment is critical. Am I forgetting anything else?

I know what you're up against as I had an L59 on two different B's, one manual lift, one hydraulic lift. Then I got a 306?, or whatever the 6' version is. Then I switched the 306 over to a C!

Both mountings on the B's were factory- mower offset to the right, so when lifting from the right side of the tractor, the mower came up mostly straight.

I bought the wider mounting bracket for the C. But I immediately altered it so the mower deck was centered under the tractor. I built a lift with cables and pulleys from the rear rockshaft so the mower lifted from two points, and came up straight.

They're all gone now. Climbing onto those antiques got to be too much for this antique!
