Apparently in response to Old 560's post on raccoons being poofed a Trash Panda in St Paul MN took it upon himself to protest. The varmit scaled some 20 stories and rested. It kept the citiots confused whereupon stinky cat food was placed on the roof of the building and after it's rest the rascal scaled to the top of the UBS Tower in the early hours Wednesday morning. It is not certain if the food or night fall aided the animal in completing it's quest. At this time the Trash Panda could not be reached for comment and it is unclear if charges will be filed.

i saw that on the news this morning. a couple ding-a-ling maintenance guys poked at it with a 2x4 while it was on the roof of a car port and scared it and it climbed up the side of the building. shoulda just left it a lone or gave it a lead sammich.

I just don't see the issue. Does somebody have to intervene on behalf of something that is free to do what it wants?

What if there is a comet coming and he has to get up high to jump on the comet's tail and go to his special place?

The urban reaction to one raccoon is funny.

And sad.

People are so removed from the real world these days.

My wife showed me last night, she said she didn't know a raccoon can clime concrete. Well if you look the concrete is that super porous type, it's like a tree bark, easy to grip. The fella is pretty bold, snoozing on those narrow window ledges 20 stories up.

The racoon climbed 25 stories to the roof and was captures in a live trap.

This is true. Out here in the country he probably would have died from acute lead poisoning.

End of story!
