Have a 300 gal Hardi sprayer with 40' fold up boom. It will run along great than it'll start spraying out around the tank mix valve and pressure will start dropping. Stop shut it off wait a minute than go again and back to normal then a few minutes later same thing. I replaced all the suction hose a few years ago screens are good pipe inside the tank is good cover gaskets and the round rubber in front of the pump all new. Tks for any help.

So you have a big round thing. Fluid from tank goes to it first. It has a dial with L C R. These 3 lines go to boom. Then there is a pressure relief valve with something to adjust pressure. Then fluid goes back to tank to agitate chemical. So your lcr thing is leaking. They won't take over 60 psi. Might need to slow uour motor down. But you can buy a new one from Northern. Even if not in your catalog. Call them during the day. The guy will fix you up. We have Ohio valley ag. They have everything including knowledge. Hope this helps Vic

There's a valve beside the pressure gage that will divert the tank mix back to the tank to agitate it.

Thank you Vic,I'll look them up. The sprayers still in decent shape, would prefer to fix if we can.

The valve should be ok,i replaced it with another one a couple years ago and it didn't really solve it,

I can try a sprayer full with the cover loosened a bit to see if it helps, the vents may possibly be plugged?

Every part on a Hardi sprayer is Hardi's. That is what makes their parts so expensive. They do not operate like a "regular" sprayer with a centrifugal pump. I presume you have a diaphragm pump.
I think you are in Canada, but this dealer in Ohio only business is Hardi sprayrers Kahr's Tractor Sales 1-419-335-1638.
I know strange name for a sprayer dealer. Tractor dealership long gone.
Todd Kahr will have your answer in a minute. He knows Hardi sprayers inside and out. This is where I get my Hardi parts.
Hardi sprayers can be a bit difficult with all the internal valves and oring fittings.
I am on my second Hardi. They are great sprayers.

Hardin is a little different, they are all their own parts. I wouldn't presume to guess what us wrong with one of Thierry sprayers. You are describing many common older ones, and would agree with you on any other brand.....

Thank you very much! Yes we're in Canada but I will definitely pick his brain tomorrow morning. There's got to be a solution for it.

I have the same sprayer as you, a Hardi 300 gal. I can get it spraying in the 30-40 psi range but lots of times preasure starts to drop, then i start turning the recirculation knob in to get the preasure up, 2 min later the preasure bolts and the nozzels are leakin solution, then im turning the recirculation back down. This seems to be the pattern. I wish i would have left it at the auction!!!.....John

We've had ours for a little over 20 years,it's just been in the last couple it hasn't worked as it should. All the years before that it would always hold steady even pressure. Has to be some reason,I'll keep you posted if I find anything out.

Do you mean this thing?

Coming out the packing on the valve handle? Is there a restriction in your return line? If you take the handle cartridge out there?s a few o-rings I think. Might so crud jamming the spool / diaphragm that the pilot pressure works against.
