IH 886 help

I have a IH 886 and today I was raking hay shut the tractor off to help with round baler and when I went back a few mins later I turned the key and I got nothing. It sounded like it made a pop like a fuse blew. I have lights so I have power. Is there is a fuse for the starter or something? Before you ask yes it is in park and the clutch is pressed in.
Thanks in advance.

A faulty connection (ground or hot) will make that sound. (snapish like crunch) the connection can be good enough to light the lights, (at 20 amps) but not twist the starter at 350 amps. Check it by turning on the lights then turning the key to start. is the lights go out, probably a connection. If they stay bright, it could be the connection at the starter solenoid allowing current to the system, but not the starter itself. or it could be the solenoid internally (less likely) Jim

Classic battery cable arc. As you check the connections be sure to check not just terminal to post but also cable to terminal.
