That is a big Avery. Top speed of around 4mph. .

I wonder if an Avery is considered a "gas traction" (like an Emmerson Brantingham Big 4).

You see these giants at the gas and steam show in Berryville, Va. Owners drive them around and then get the steam whistles going to raise the dead. Great fun. Don't know that I've seen one this big, but they have some huge tractors there. Normally one is parked with a belt running a sawmill where they cut cedar shingles and give them to visitors.

Friend of mine drove his steam tractor about 8 miles to a show, and back again. Pulled a tender behind with wood and water.
