After the Work is Done...

Hello all! Well, finished up the hardest part of my landscaping renovation today. Put down about 200 feet of landscape edging, hauled in 55
bags of mulch, and laid down 51 patio block. Also got my new IHC sign installed in it's perch in the front "Rock 'N' Rust" garden. All that
is left is to add some hostas to the mix, and trim some bushes. After all that hard work, I decided to take some of the tractors out for a
quick ride through the new neighborhood. Fired up the '44 MM ZTU, the '42 IH H, the '47 IH M, the '42 JD A, and the '38 F20... Lined up a few
of them, and the ZTU is ready to go into the garage to get some maintenance done. Also, took this photo of the '41 Case SC parked out front
after it's spring bath. I am still working on finishing the fenders for the tractor, as I just picked up the original, large-shelled early SC
fenders...... Not bad for a Monday!

I just thought you would all like to see the photos, and I hope everyone is having a great start to their summer!

This is the second one I have made like this... I used 16" patio pavers (brickface style), that you can get from your local big-box home improvement store. I believe there are 8 pavers per tier, and I think I have 5 tiers for a total of about 10" high. This puts the center diameter right around 36-37" I believe. It works really well, and looks different, too.

Used to be an old saying that you could see who was in charge husband or wife, on a place by looking at the house and the barns/buildings as to which one had the most money spent on them.

It actually won't take much upkeep after all is said and done. I have electric hedge trimmers to take care of the bushes, and since I am using hostas for most of the landscaping, all I have to do is cut them down to the ground every fall and they will come back every spring. The worst part about this property is just the fact that my big birch trees out front are constantly dropping branches/sticks that I have to pick up every week I mow. I love it out here, though!

Ken C.,

Really nice - all of it. Especially like that IHC rusty in the rock garden.

I see you set your tractors out and about so they can get some vitamin D. ;)... My husband does that too.

Thank you! That sign really turned out cool. I can't take credit for the idea, though. Saw a gentleman on Facebook that did something similar using the small diameter F20 steel wheels.

If the tractors don't get any sun, they will get 'cranky'.... :-D
