That's the question. Open for opinions and experiences. Shipping and liability for the transport is also a question....Tractor House transportation screen seems to be having a problem. After you plug in the destination, with it already knowing the origin, it doesn't compute, says send them an email..........I still have a piece of a bug in my machine from a couple of days ago and I did a good bit of TH traffic, besides the question about the email on here.

You don't get a lot of concrete answers from sellers. Just kind of get wrinkled when you ask specific questions and there is no guarantee you get what you are supposed to be getting........They tell you to come and look at it and decide for yourself......yeah right. 500+ miles each way for a peek?

Appreciate inputs.
Thanks,
Mark

If the seller won't answer my questions, unless they don't know the
answer which is often the case with inherited tractors, then I walk.
Someone who doesn't know the answer will tell you that.
Usually they will send you pictures to try to sell it too.
If they tell you "come look", tell them to sell it to someone else.

Far as I know tractor house And other sites are just an advertising outlet. They have nothing to do with the sale or shipping. If I was interested I would go look.

Thought about it long and hard and decided that what I have will work for me. Just need to not be so lazy and take the cutter off to install
the baler, back and forth as the hay patches mature over the summer, at different times.....both big problems for a guy working alone. The
good news is the current cutter/baler driver is a 2007 6530C Branson with all the bells and whistles. Really is setup for easy attachment of
implements.

Thanks for the reply.

What you are going to fine (and I am not making excuses for anyone) is TRACTOR HOUSE advertising is very expensive. Those folks on there are dealers or larger jockeys. They are not paying for those adds selling older tractors. They are just busy and rather than tell you hey the radiator is good then you get there and find a small leak. It is just easier to say come look because more than likely he has not looked. I actually know several jockeys that have quit listing older tractors on there because of the constant phone ringing that they just do not have time for.

If they are hard to deal with before the sale how you think they'll be after the sale?If they advertise something they should be able to answer questions if not they need to drop it off
at a consignment sale.

I have bought a couple from a distance....TX and MO ....private owners and got pics and most all pertinent questions answered. Reasonable enough shipping too. EVEN after all that , trust me, you will find things you swear they had to know about. I have since made a pact...if I can't drive it...I DON'T BUY IT ! Walk away. Nothing is THAT rare.
