Threatening Skies

Had some threatening looking clouds around all afternoon. Made for some nice photos but no rain here yet. Half an inch over at the West farm. I'm still having problems uploading any decent sized photos and forget about video. Wireless has dropped down to near what used to be dial up speed. Hope to be back up to speed (literally) soon.

(quoted from post at 19:55:47 05/22/18) Heavy rain knocks the snot out of GHz signals.
This lack of service has been going on for two days now and we've had no heavy rain in over a year. Its a Sasktel thing that I hope they are working on.

There was a pretty good shot of rain in the city this afternoon. Our son called out and said it came down hard for a while and the power went out. All we got was some thunder - had a grand total of a half-tenth of an inch a few days ago. Very dry.

Three drops of rain last night up here in the north west SK. (Meadow lake area). Nothing to count in the rain gauge since the snow left though. Busy putting the wheat and barley in the ground with the faith that the Good Lord will send some timely rains once again this year. Calving went good so that is a blessing.

Rusty I do a good bit of work for the phone company, they are currently adding 5g mini antenna equipment to thier buildings. The equipment they use produces tons of heat, my part is supplying the cooling for it. We are told once the stuff goes online we won't be able to access the outdoor units on the roof without making an appointment to do so, they say the RF is too much energy to be near and can have lasting negative health affects. They say when we need to service the stuff the power can be turned down on it to be out of the harmful range. Just more joys of the job invisible energy that you can't feel or see. I'm looking into a rf detector to wear.

Thats interesting to know. I sometimes wonder about the safety factor of working and living around all those wireless waves of energy too. I know when I walk near the am radio in the work ship it picks up static from the cell phone in my pocket.
