It appears they are currently using a
purpose built Peugeot/Citroen engine. I've
worked on some older ones that had Diesel
Kiki power. I would guess there have been
many suppliers over the years.

I had one in the early 80's that was Mercedes powered.It was considered old back then.Then I had one with Perkins power.In the mid 80's I saw a new one with Isuzu power,the owner said it used exactly half the fuel of the Mercedes.After that I understand they used an assortment of engines,depending on the region.
