1917 International Mogul

Hello,
My Employer owns a 1917 International Mogul 10-20, original and good running condition. We are trying to find out the value of the tractor. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You,
Tracy

First off, post on the IH forum here down below. Second, any estimate would be a guess at best ..... and
then even that would be maybe a wild one. You didn't say anything about the condition of the tractor, does
it even run? Restored, refurbished, original, nice, rough? Last, search out auctions over the last few
years on Google searches, Aumann Auctions, Mecum Auctions. It's like asking how long is a piece of string
with something that rare and old. Tough question for sure .....

If truely original and running complete, prices probably range from 10,000 to 25,000 or more. A little less than 9000 of them were made. Jim

Ok thanks for the info. I didn't realize I was posting in the wrong area. I will repost. The tractor is original and in good running condition.
Thanks

Well, I didn't say "original & good running" together Blackie. I suggested he might state in his post whether it was running (as opposed to not running), and original (as opposed to restored). Separate descriptions, so that's what I meant. I'm sure you can grasp the difference.

Do a lot of research before you come up with a value. They are rare and valuable. I worked on a 10-20 Mogul a couple years ago. I had to extensively research pictures on websites to get visual patterns for some missing parts I had to make. Through all of this I found very few examples to go by and most of those examples were repetitions of the same tractor. Some of the websites I visited had discussions on value and I didn’t see any estimates as low as the values mentioned here. One estimate was in the six figures but it was only an estimate. Most of the pictures I looked at were taken in Europe so I don’t know if more were exported than kept domestically or if more were saved in Europe than in the US.

---You posted your question in the correct area. People ask anything here. For example, if I wanted to know a good anniversary gift for my wife that says I still love you, but could you possibly lose a few pounds--I would ask that question here. (No, that's not a real question, so put your keyboards down!)

You get points for having an actual tractor in your query.

I know nothing about your old Mogul, but could you post a photo? I just like looking at old things.

(quoted from post at 09:36:08 05/22/18) I posted four photos, I am sorry that he doesn't have a side picture, I hope the photos come out.
Thanks

Good photos of an interesting old machine. Nice to have that piece of history in the shed. Anyone here know the purpose of the two pieces of angled iron that protrude from the back and end up just to the rear of the wheels? Steps? Mud wipes?

Fender brackets for missing fenders. Front brackets are there too.

Thanks, that makes sense. Hope to see one of these in person.

There is one at the Albert City threshing show. He starts it up Almost every day of the show. It’s interesting to see it start. When it first fires it just makes a ‘WHOOSH’, then maybe another ‘WHOOSH’, then it does a ‘CHUFF’, then another ‘CHUFF’, then another one and it struggles away till the operator can get around to advancing the timing, then it smooths out and makes a thumping sound. I can see why some of the farmers back in the day parked the tractor and got the horses out again.
