IH 350 Hyd pump. rebuild or replace?

Found the root of my hydraulic troubles. Tractor is dumping hydraulic fluid into engine oil when warmed up. So pretty sure the seals are bad in the pump. My question is I was looking on YT here and a rebuild kit is $78 and change for a "thompson" pump a complete new pump is $612 and change here at YT. Either way its going to be a project. I have a service manual ordered so can't do much til then. On the surface it looks like the rad and all the front sheet metal has to come off. Like I said manual is ordered so will look it over again when that gets here. I should add pump seems to have good flow and pressure otherwise. Thoughts?

If it is making pressure, putting a seal in it should make it operational. The shaft may be worn where the seal rubbed. If deep enough to feel with
your fingernail, putting a speedy sleeve on the shaft will work. (It must be put on after the housing, or it will not go together) Make sure the
components are put on exactly as removed. Take pictures. Jim
