Fredericksburg show

The show turned out to be very small. There is lots going on this time of year and I considered 3 other tractor events before deciding on F'burg. But as always, I saw old friends and made new ones. Saw some familiar tractors and some new (old) ones. Yes, the gold Ford really was an original demonstrator. It has some original paint under the hood and a very low serial number. The stamping on the trans makes the fellow think it was recalled for repair on the SOS. In the last pic I guess the burro died so he had to improvise. And the temp only got to about 91 by the time we left.

Might be a small show, but looks like some "quality" equipment there!

Thanks for taking us along.

That Select-O-Matic looks really nice.

I went last year and not many tractors there. The quarter horse races were the big thing. I can?t remember what month it was. You take great clear pics.

Walt, you must have been there during the County Fair in August. That one is mostly about the pull. This was their Club show and it was a big show a few years ago. It's just dwindled over the past 3 or so years. They had no advertising or posts on their website or FB page.

I live between the community of Manchaca and Buda south of Austin. Not much tractor action in Austin so I have to haul to anything. 80 miles to F'burg, to the area I grew up in, Lavaca county, to Temple so I have to travel. Let me know when your down this way.

Moulton the last weekend of July. That one might be hot. 106 and 107 last year. That's the one where we gather on Sat. and ride thru town then play some tractor games then the parade and show is Sunday. The 2 churches have Sat. evening services so folks can attend the parade etc. After that, Temple.

Great, When we stay in Austin I have played in a Bluegrass Jam there Thursday nights at a Mexican Bar n Grill (Texican maybe ????) on the highway just South of Manchaca North of Buda so know the area.
