Well, my 1030 project tractor seems to be fully operational, FINALLY! Worked good to work and plant my ground this spring. Got about 20 hours on it so far and it seems to be running well. Here are a few pics of it and my dc in action.

Nice job Jon.
If I recall - this wasn't a piece of junk when you bought it...but after digging into it, you found lots of trouble, right?

Either way: it must be a good feeling to turn something around from being broken to being productive.

Jon, I'm confused, the steering column is yellow, so it should mean its a 1966, but it has a spin on, and oil cooler, that means its a 68 or 69, I couldn't remember if you put a different engine into her or.

I bought it knowing it had a bad engine,
but turned out everything was shot. Then
last year after I overhauled it The engine
spun a bearing. This is th e second
overhaul. I ended up buying another with a
rebuilt rear end and bad block and
combining the 2 to make one.

It's a mutt, several tractors combined. It will get the red column and late number soon.

nice pics jon, looks like you could use a rock picker, I was out to the brother in laws place last weekend and him and his brothers where picking rocks. they have a rock rake that windrows the rocks and then the rock picker comes along behind picking and hauling them off the field. it seemed to work really well but like he said there is no end to the rocks

That's a good one , I'm on the very edge of where the glacier ended round rocks are west of here . Our county is flat to the west and bluff country on the east .
