Hydraulic Pump question

How can you tell if your hydraulic pump on a Ford 640 is the vane or piston type? Any help will be appreciated!

My GUESS would have been that by the time the 640 was made, all they used was piston pumps, but I'm not an expert on Ford tractor details.

Anyhow, here's a couple of photos from John Smith's site showing how the two versions look on an NAA.
