Up Date Redneck Golf Cart

Adirondack case guy

Well I have all the pieces that I fabed up painted and reassembled on the old CASE 150GT, now powered with a 24V DC motor and for now a pair of G31 12V batteries. The battery tray has capacity for 4 of these batteries, if need be.
Weather got a bit rainy this afternoon so I could not start laying tape to form the graphics.
Stay tuned, I plan on giving it a name and personality of it's own.
The wifey made all the cushions based on some 3/4" plywood bases that I cut for the cushions.
In case you haven't been following, it is going to have solar charging panels on the roof, and will allow the wife and I to ride around our small tractor shows rather than walking. "Self Propelled lawn chair". HeHe.

Loren, all I can say is I'm impressed. It really looks like it rolled out of Winneconne 1966

looks really good. rear is really well proportioned though to me from front canopy seems boxy. Got any wide shots from the side?

For some reason I can see a big smile on that piece you fitted where the screen was below the lights.

Loren that looks real nice. I can hear the questions that you will be asked by everyone who sees it, "where did you buy that?"

Adirondack case guy- Awesome work! You can build anything, I'm impressed.

Very good looking work.

Looking good Loren. But I have to ask....how easy is it to get in and out of? I think I'd shorten the armrests to the same length as the seat cushion if not maybe even a bit shorter. I know there's a few guys who don't like to ride their $15,000 dollar side by sides just because they're hard to get in and out of. Just a thought.

Your good wife is evidently as superb a seamstress/upholster as you are a designer/fabricator/painter. Great effort on that project. Enjoy!

So You will need a model number for that nice looking unit -- I'am thinking it should be EC42 -- Electric Case For Two -- Just thinking out loud -- Roy

Oh - someone mentioned hard to gain entry -- Maybe the outside armrests could be fold-up units -- sure would be fun to come over and help You with all Your super Ideas -- that is a fun looking project -- Good work! Roy

Loren,
You ARE the fabricator! Very nice!

Now you need to build a mini-hayrack... and have a mini-YT hayride. :)

is it me or is the center console offset a tiny bit to Beth"s side??
fine, fine job,Loren. you will never have to worry about someone else showing up with the same thing at Roseboom or any where else in the world for that matter....
will there be a show at Roseboom this year? dates? I hope to have a better trailer by summer.

That is awesome. Amazing how your mind works! Most folks now days would think up something and never go anywhere with it. Nice job.

Bill, I just google searched Roseboom tractor show and watched a YouTube video of it from last year. My White with my son driving and granddaughter and his girlfriend riding and behind them in the picture is a couple real nice Case tractor's driven by Loren and his son Scott. I'm sure they will the show again so plan on going!

Bill the seat is centered, but the whole frame of the tractor is offset 2-3/4" to the rear wheel tread to allow room for the hyd. motor that drives the tranny.
It was a bit tricky to make things look correct with the vertical lines of the canopy.

The wifey weighs 100# soaking wet, so she has no problem getting in her seat. I am 6-1 and 225# but just have to know what foot to put where when climbing on. I pondered putting a hinged/swing out armrest on my side and still may. Haven't been in and out of it enough to decide yet.

Self propelled lawn chair is a much better name for it than a "golf cart".
I wonder how many golf courses would allow you to use it on their course?
It might be that they would all allow it, and then on the other hand, maybe they would all say no.

That's cool, kinda like the Case factory 2 person cart, but electric.

Speaking of electric, how does the RPM of the motor, and resulting hyd flow, compare to a gas engine?

Do you control the speed with the original valve or just vary the motor RPM?

I've had some Case and Ingersoll experience but never with an electric motor driven pump!

How much weight will the solar panels add to the roof.. Looks like the C.G. is going up quite a bit.Make sure you are sitting on the upwind side LOL
