fixing a radiator

I got a radiator that has 2 little pinhole leaks in it I was straightening the fins when I had it off the tractor and put it all back together and water leaked out
radiator shops here are getting harder to find so I thought about taking it back off and finding the leak and putting some JBWeld in it,isnt that what the old radiator
shops would do except solder it? Other than that the radiator is good and clean just those 2 pinholes in it.

Put jb weld on a lot of radiators it?s works dang good just get it clean and make sure there?s no antifreeze around the leak . Don?t use the quick set and let it dry over night or longer . I fixed a whole in my 4020 radiator 8 Inches long and 3 wide where the fan tried going through to the other side that?s been 6 years ago now starting to just seep a little now going to clean it up around the edges and put a Little more on . I use the tractor hard and not an issue with overheating

Learn to solder.

It's not rocket surgery, and the results are more or less permanent.

Most radiator shops around here want to sell a new radiator. What I have done in the past, is us a small tip torch and heat the tube where it comes out of the tank top, and bottom. Using a needle nose twist the tube out of the tank. Then a little dab of solder in the hole. Stan

Pour in 2 cans of pet milk. Get the cheap stuff it works just fine. Don't believe it just give it a try. It works great. Will stop a leak about as big as a pencil. I have one old truck and two tractors with it in the red right now. No leaks in any of them for over 2years. Hey for $2 and no work God it s try. You will be amazed.

Got this A 15 years ago. When I decided to fix some oil leaks and paint it 3 years ago, I picked what I thought was dirt out of the radiator. Ended up being JB Weld. It had never leaked, so I replaced it with more of the same and it is still good to go.
