I have a ford 4000 trying to understand serial number. can any body tell me what year and where was it made. here are the serial numbers 2k12B E70E07 124953

2K12B is the unit number, a date code, which Bob has already decoded.
E7OE7 doesn't match anything I can find. Double check that one, as a 4000 model number could start with an E (or a 4).
124953 might be your serial number, but it should be preceded by an A, B, or C. That will tell which factory it came from - A =
Antwerp, Belgium, B = Basildon, England, C = U.S. built. I would suspect it has an A or B serial number, as 124953 falls in the
1966 range of U.S. serial numbers.

2K12B is the production date
E70E07 doesn't match up to anything, 4000 model code should start with a D, E is for a 5000
124935 looks like part of the serial number for a 66 model but there shouldn't be a 66 serial number on a 72 model tractor.
There should also be a A, B or C at the beginning of the serial number.
Recheck the numbers or post a photo.
