Hauling double ammonia tanks

I spent the day hauling tanks, and will probably spend most of tomorrow doing it.

We had two 2016 Diesel pickups, one was my F250 Ford, and the other a Chevy 1 ton. Here are my impressions. My Ford seemed to have much more usable power, the engine pulled much better and the transmission seemed to pick the gear better. The Chevy, which was a long box, seemed to not buck as much with the trailer, but really did not seem to have as much HP pulling, the transmission seemed to keep it in higher gears much longer.

It would have been nice if you could have driven a Cummins (I know, a DODGE Cummins) just for comparison. I know nothing about how the newer diesels pull.

Which power train in them? You're comparing power levels without telling us which engine and trans combo they had. GVW 3/4 ton vs 1 ton doesn't relate to power.

David is that why all three of our local Coops traded off all their ford pickups and went to GM. They found they had far less in repairs and far less in fuel costs over the fords they traded off. These 3 coops are related by name only and found these facts by them selves. My Son works for one of them and I do business the other 2.
