Man, some of the best grounds and weather they have had! A little too breezy for some displays, but nice time, come on out the next couple days you can.

I got the flu crud yesterday, but even so enjoyed myself this afternoon.

Cell tower is pretty full, I'll wait on the pic.....

My pics aren't much, but since I said I'd put something up....

I missed the get together as I was loading a gas engine, but figured it was the gang by the collection of dashing good looks and the aura of wisdom that the wind wasn?t blowing away.

Sorry I missed you guys. I didn't see the invite. My son Daniel and I are there selling parts, over by the granary. I have the Oliver 1950-T there to sell.

What an amazing crowd for the first day! I got there around 5 a.m. to get parking right outside the main gate so I could dump off cartloads of unnecessary purchases into my pickup and continue shopping for more. (How many four-for-a-dollar old tools does a sane person need?) I felt sorry for the people parked way out on the main road. Walking the grounds is tiring enough without having to walk a mile just to get there. And the dust was terrible at times, but it beat the heck out of the pancake-batter roads I've often seen. Great to have an event without rain or snow.

Never sat down from 9:00 until 4:30 this afternoon. I got through most of it. I he-hawed about a grill for my wife's Farmall B and went back and it was gone. Guess the price wasn't too high after-all. Did get a new pair of skins for the front of the 1010. Was sure nice meeting for the meet and greet. Hopefully we can do it again next year.

Yeah, sheesh... I don't think I've ever seen people parked so far down the road in all directions from the ground (and we've been going about 9-10 years). Definitely some parked a mile from the entrance to both the north and the east - and also a good distance to the west and the south.

I made a similar comment to my husband as we drove away heading east, and saw the vehicles parked up to a mile out: "Man, I don't think I'd have it in me to walk a mile to the pickup after doing the swap meet... I'd just do like a 2-year old and throw myself on the ground and cry." LOL

Ron,

Great pic!

Going to try to convince my other half to do the meet and greet next year... AND sit down for lunch. We're getting to the age where sitting down for a 30-40 minutes would be a good thing. LOL!

Sheeesh, we hit the ground running and only stopped for about a 7-minute lunch (so about 5 hours of SPEED-WALKING). Started in the low ground at the east and worked our way up-top. It's terrible when he's on a mission to find specific items. I finally told hiM, "Ya know, you're stealing our fun from us... we like to actually look at stuff. Maybe you should go find a hauler for the mower deck you bought and take it to the truck - so we (daughter and I), can go at a slower pace and actually LOOK at stuff... rather than just "jogging" past because they don't happen to have the large items you are looking for."

I'm buying him a darn cell phone before next year - so if he wants to run through the entire swap grounds like and Indy 500 driver - he can... and I can go at an enjoyable pace.

Me and a buddy from my work go every year. he has a golf cart we bring along to cruise in. I was surprised at all the dust flying around. This was the driest time I ever was there also. Great time again this year. Sorry I didn't get to the fire hall to meet you all. You just can't help yourself from looking at stuff once you get going there. LOL Kow Farmer Kurt

Had a good meet this year and like it was said no snow, mud or cold temps. Thanks everyone who attended. The photo was taken later on Saturday afternoon with some vendors already headed for home.
