Just acquired a 1955-1957 Case 411. The PTO wont stop spinning. I've adjusted the lever under the seat, however the problem still continues. How should I go about working on this?

There isn't a brake on the big 400 roundnose tractor. If you stop the engine and hook the implement pto up and restart the tractor I assume
it doesn't turn until you pull up on the pto lever.

Sounds like somebody ran the PTO with the clutch out of adjustment and warped the disks in the clutch.
