Serial number identification

I recently bought a super h farmall or its supposed to be he gave me decals with it for a h farmall if the tag is not on the clutch housing how can identify what tractor I have I don't wanna be telling people I have something that I don't have or put the wrong decals on any help is appreciated

IIRC a straight H has band brakes in a tin cover and the super has disc type in a cast cover along
with some other changes, been years since I worked on one. Maybe try the Farmall forum for a more
definitive answer

There is casting codes on all major componets. The farmall gurus can code them out. I am working on a H with Lambert disc brakes. These are aftermarket.

SH engines and some H engines had the serial number in a location like picture, or some H have it in a place like that just above side cover and below the front spark plug. H engine serial numbers have prefix letters before serial number and maybe suffix letter or letters after. SH engines just have a serial number with maybe suffix letter or letters after. Near last of H and SH had starter switches mounted on starter. Near last of H and SH had disc brakes.
