I'm new to this forum , not sure if I'm posting this in right place , but anyway I'll learn as I go maybe . MY Question is i have located what I think may very well be last Model A John Deere Tractor produce Serial No. On right hand side above brake SN.703384 was hoping to find out if someone may have a Est. of Value as it is I think the last one off the line in 1952. Looks to be 20 to 24 k a year produced from something like 1940 maybe to 1952. Any Est. of value or info on value on last of a production line tractor made in that age range would be greatly appreciated. As i am I a position to purchase this tractor and would indeed like to do so . Thanks

Tractor data shows 703384 as the last produced A but sometimes the information can be inaccurate. Let's assume that it is true the best way to determine the value would be an auction setting where many people can bid via the internet. I don't know that the last A has the same appeal as the last 4020 built but there should be somewhat of a premium. This would probably be on the order of finding a needle in a haystack but you could check internet sites such as Tractor House which shows auction prices for tractors. You could if there were results close to that serial number such as within the last 100 or last 1000 to see what those tractors brought and adjust for condition relative to yours. Just a flat out guess on my part but I would guess over 4,000 dollars if in pretty good condition with good if not perfect tires. If restored then considerably higher.

To a JD collector it might be worth something, but you didn't say
if it ran or anything about the condition of the tin, tires, paint etc.
so I couldn't even give you a ballpark figure if I wanted one/it.
I had to beg someone to take my last JD A. In any event, don't damage
the tag trying to clean it up just in case someone does want to buy it.

1952 is the last year they built um . This one is the last one that rolled off in 52 . Shut down production of any more A's after this one . SN . 703384

"Depending on the year offer any A's that you are selling to me and I will not make you beg."

[b:9f05e2d565]This[/b:9f05e2d565] was it. Running and driving. Obviously had some issues. Wasn't worth fixing to me.
Apparently no one else around here thought it was either.

"Runs good , paint fair ,axle seal leaking , sheet metal good. 1 to 10 - about a 6 over all condition."

I don't think the axle seal wouldn't bother anyone who wanted it.
A '52 is a much better tractor than the one I posted the video of,
but still lacking from the number series in my opinion.
Last one built is the selling point. A collector may want it.

Got a start somewhere were you end up is what counts though . I figure 4 k is more than he's been offered for it today . I'm guessing on that know BUT . Man can always go up on his bid count go down to easy though. First one and the Last one built as for as collectors go , would be unique I'd think , Lot of um In between the two . Thanks for info. NY 986 .

I don't know where you're located, but in my area of Michigan I
would almost guarantee that. I'd be interested in seeing what it
does bring in the end. I wish you the best of luck with your find.
It is certainly a unique tractor.

If I remember correctly in the last year or 2 there was a post on here about the last serial number A and where it was at.

Well this tractor definitely had value. It actually was on an auction this past weekend of a gentlemen down south (Arkansas I believe) who had passed away. My friend took it to $17,500 over the phone and it kept going from there. I believe it sold somewhere between $26,000 and $29,000.
