decided on a 5 pin power plug for the m5, (had 1 in the parts room) built a box for the plug to bolt into and also protect the plug. planning on 1 live pair and 1 pair on a switch on the dash.

thanks sv., thinking of building a set of flashing red strobe lights on magnets like the tow truck drivers use to put on the back of a vehicales when they are towing it. for when i'm coming home in the dark with a disc or cultivator etc. put them on the back at the outside edges. hopefully keep some of the donkeys out there from running into me

Good idea you can never have to many lights on a
piece of equipment at night . I have magnetic lights
and then I have dot tape across the width of the
implement and then an smv sign on the left hand of
of the implement and an an smv in the center of the
tractor

You say ?flashing red lights? , here in Ontario you
can get into trouble with the law on that. Red
flashing lights are reserved for fire, police, and
ambulance. Flashing blue for snow removal
equipment, and flashing amber is the colour for
warning/cation, like on tow trucks and hyway road
repair/maintenance equipment.

Here in Iowa it's legal for a farmer to be over width on a highway at night with farm equipment with the proper lighting. Is it wise? No.

good idea sv. on the dot tape, have it on the back of my case skidsteer as well as the flashing amber light. going to put a pair of rear facing lights on the fenders (pointing down at the implements, not at traffic behind me) flashing red lights on the corners of the implement, and a smv sign as well. like you say sv. the more lights the better at night, if you look like a moving Christmas tree, it hopefully will get peoples attention.

in alberta bruce its red facing rearward, amber facing forward for equipment, blue/red for police, fire trucks and ambulance are a mix of red/amber.

(quoted from post at 06:03:24 04/11/18) Good job. It looks like it fits right in.
I thinks so to fixerupper, I tried it at different spots and I think that's the best, it's out of the way from the hydraulics, not interfearing with anything and still easy access to plug in and work on.

(quoted from post at 12:29:49 04/11/18) I believe that housing is stout enough for the job, LOL.
double07 I sure hope so  after looking at the bent fenders and other damage iv'e been fixing on the back end I didn't want to build a bracket with light wimpy tin. it's tucked in out of the way (I hope)

agreed! I should be able to stay off main highways and just stick to the back roads, (mainly gravel county roads) and not much for traffic. but I still want to be seen before anyone gets close to me.

The law in Idaho is one rear red light one red
reflector and an smv sign to travel at night . I go
way above that . You can see an smv shine for
about a mile at night when light hits it and with 2
and the tape and magnetic flashing lights you can
be sure you?ll be see
