got the m5 taken down as far as I want to go for now, going to roll it back for steam cleaning and then roll it back, pull the wheels, sand and scuff it up for paint and then start putting her all back together.

As you're in Canada, I doubt you have to worry much about OSHA. However, if memory serves, the laws in Canada (according to [b:18c4e51498]Red[/b:18c4e51498][/color:18c4e51498] [b:18c4e51498]Green[/b:18c4e51498][/color:18c4e51498]) specifically state that you MUST have a handsome amount of duct tape included with ANY use of cardboard.

Beats when I painted my 4020 in the garage in the dark with one 75 watt light bulb the night before the
local tractor show

as red green taught me kcm I will be using the handy mans secret weapon to install the extractor fan on top of my new paint booth (a push lawn mower with the blades bent sideways) and a few roll of duct tape to hold it all in place

(quoted from post at 21:41:33 04/05/18) Well done..........:)

Say, were is home in Canada....Province...Town...?

Bob...
the same province as you bob, carvel alberta, about 12 miles due west of stony plain, or 25 miles west of Edmonton. I am 3 miles south of the highway 43 and highway 16 junction on range road 22. I had to look on the google map to see where you lived! I worked around the dawson creek, pouce coupe area back in the late 60's. I was born and raised in the Yukon and drove truck from dawson city in the Yukon to Tayler flats, hauling fuel for Klondike transport. it was a 7 day round trip bob back in those days on the Alaska highway. my partner and I used to end up in the mile zero hotel bar on occasion  woke up one sunday morning on the river bank where the pouce coupe camp ground was! (had NO idea where I was) when I go back home I go through Rycroft spirit river to dawson creek circle, how far from the bay tree store do you live?

(quoted from post at 04:14:25 04/06/18) Have you got a box big enough to fit the tractor in?
i'm working on that Stephen  that paint booth was the box my new shop water tank came in! by my calculations i'll have to buy another 20 hot water tanks

the old girl turned out pretty good sv. with all that spiffy new paint it made the old girl look new sv. you should have waited till after the show

Its held up pretty well it sometimes gets washed once a year and I've polished it once since I painted it
in 2003

I?m just going to try giving the 3020 a polish and
see what happens . It has pretty decent original
paint and it?s all one color and all the tin is there and
matches

I am a JD 2cyl guy but the 4020 will go down in history as the '57 Chevy did. It changed farming and it changed the farmer. I have a '50 "B" I restored and I would love about a '68-'70 4020 to show right along side it.
