I bought a used flail mower just like my old one. I spent a lot of time getting it in good operating condition. The reason I bought this mower, is it has better blade hangers. My old one would tear out several blades if I hit a large rock, or stump. My first mowing job last week was with it. As I'm loading it on the trailer, it hangs over to one side about 6 inches beyond the tires, it takes up the whole width of the trailer bed, so I don't have a lot to play with. what I found is the three point hook up is off just enough compared to the old one to let it hang over. All I can do now is when loading do a hard right turn the last foot or so. It's just enough to swing the mower the 6 inches. It's hardly noticeable, but I am going to remember it every time I load it for a while. That's the way it has to be like it or not.

A lot of the flail mowers are offset that way so they will cut the full tire track out on the one side. So if you mow in circles they will pickup the material the tire mashes down better.

I have a four foot Mott, mid-mounted on an A-C G. It hangs about 8 inches out to the right side. Gets right up close to walls and trees. Mow left to right and there's only one front tire to flatten the grass. It cuts nice but takes about 2 hours to change a set of blades. 60 pairs each mounted by a rivet-like pin with a washer and cotter.

Mine started out offset. Probably a lot more than yours. I "fixed" it.
