Ebro McKee 350

Hi, I recently purchased an Ebro 350. I was finished using for the day, while in reverse the clutch went limp and she started moving forward. Good thing I had it in low gear. A neighbor said the throw bearing went and I need to split the tractor. Did I say this was my first tractor ever? I've removed the bucket but before I go any further I want to check to see if I can still get parts for this 1973 tractor. I read some history in an old 2007 blog here that its kind of a Ford, now owned by Nissan. Can anyone provide any direction where to get parts or can send a service manual? I'm in Ontario, CA if that helps.

From what I can read about them they sold renamed Ford and Massey-Ferguson tractors until the later models and they are Kubota supplied. It looks like yours would be more Massey Ferguson than Ford. Since it has a Perkins motor. I would bet that Ferguson parts would fit it. As for dealers you out of luck.

I do not see how it could have changed direction unless you had the gear shift in a forward gear and where holding the clutch down while you rolled backwards. As for the clutch pedal losing all function your friend is more than likely correct as on the Massey tractors of that age they just use a cross shaft that the clutch pedal hooks to and internal fingers on the same shaft that push against a throw out bearing casting. So you will need to split the tractor at the engine and see what went bad.

"From Tractor data site: Ebro was the brand name used by Motor Iberica of Spain for their line of tractors and trucks. Nearly all products were produced under license from another manufacturer, notably Ford and Massey Ferguson. Starting in 1979, Nissan Motors had an increasing stake in Motor Iberica until it completely took over the company in 1987. At that point, the company was renamed Nissan Motor Iberica. Kubota tractors were assembled at the Ebro factory under the Ebro-Kubota brand."

Hey, thanks for your reply. I am one step closer, I was able to track down a service manual for the Ebro 350 & 460. Still need info on where to get parts (clutch) for the Ebro 350.
