What brand is this disc

I bought this disc at an auction. The only thing I can find is on the boxings is K K; I thought it was an International but I'm not so sure. It does need a new blade and it will be ready to use. Thanks for the help in advance. Keith

Thanks to all you guys that responded, I do appreciate it a lot. Now I can order a replacement blade for it. Keith

Are you sure?

Both John Deere RW discs I had were green. This one is red and just doesn't look familiar.

First off---I don't know. When I first saw the picture my first thought was Kewanee. This was before reading what you or others wrote. I still thinks it's a Kewanee.

I have to disagree. On one of the front gangs, on the rounding part of the angle iron, outside, will be stamped. May be difficult to read but will tell model and width. I grew up on a 730 diesel and a 12 ft. narrow spacing RW. Later ones had sealed bearings. The boxing housings on the axles should be stamped also, Most wider ones did not have the bottoms in the center, or at least the ones I have seen. Not sure if they were supposed to carry some weight in case of need or what. That RW is a stiff disc, non adjustable gangs, no flex whatever. Tongue adjuster is an identifying characteristic. But just my opinion. I have owned several, as well as a BWA, FWA, PW, KBA, KB, JB, cannot remember any others but they did make a lot of models. I could be wrong, but I think the Kewanee had a different jack on the tongue and the iron circled the outside.

That looks like a narrow spacing Tee. If I am thinking right they made a 7 1/2 spool or a 9 between blades, but they are pretty old. I wanted one to restore but finally sold my 730 and forgot it.

We had a RW when I was a kid-neighbor had a RWA, it had some kind of a spring between the frame and the gang.--Tee

I could not remember the difference but I thought it might be the conversion to sealed bearings that made it RWA. I have a couple AWA discs here now, one is parts and the other should be, but I believe they were the first Deere models with adjustable gangs. I think the RW models were the only ones that had that tongue adjuster built that way. It is not important, just something I have always had some interest in. A blade can be had easily, axle size would have to be an inch or inch and one-eigth and most modern blades will have both. I also thought the Kewanee had round axles in the gangs but I might be thinking of Krause or Oliver

Definatly a non adjustable gang angle John Deere. And a disk I would not own as I would only want the adjustable gang angle as they work so much better, I had both Burch and Kewenee and a McCormic with the adjustable gang angle and very seldem would run in full angle, only if trying to disk up tough corn stalks, all other work mid setting or less on angle and they pull easier and do just as good a job at half angle for working ground. New blade from Shoup is going to cost as much as the disk is worth. If I would go to my books I could find the model but as I would not own one I have not tried to remember the models.
