Tractor Paint

I have used Tractor Supply?s Magic junk paint and swore that I would not use it again if they gave it to me. However I noticed Tractor Supply had Rustoleom Tractor and Machinery paint. Has anyone used it, can you add hardener to it?

I have used the Rustoleum tractor paint on a Kubota tractor a little over a year ago and so far it's doing well and not fading. The Valspar tractor paint I used before you could almost see it fading daily. After a year the orange tractor was peach colored.

If you really care about the paint job on the tractor you are painting and the color contains red you would be better off in the long run using an automotive paint. It's a lot more colorfast.

I bought a cheap 2 wheel trailer a few years ago and did some welding on it. It was painted red so I bought a Rustolum rattle can and spot painted it. The color matched perfect. Today the factory paint is pink and the Rustolum is still bright red. I am hoping that the paint in a can will be as good.

Stay away from Tractor supply paint. Takes forever to dry and doesn't hold up. Love Rustoleum and Rustoleum industrial rattle cans. The industrial with 80? weather, dry air and paint mid day in the shade. Awsum results. Just glows gloss.!!

I have used Vansickle paint with good results. Be sure to use their brand of hardener. Link is to their web site "hall of fame" my 39 9-N is in there somewhere. Luck joe

I don't normally use TS paint to do tractors but I do use it for implements. The trick with TS paint is to go heavy on the hardner. Dries quick and keeps its shine. I agree with Gene
