A Dude from Primghar Iowa stopped in with a D17 Allis yesterday -- He said it was for sale -- looked like a 1962 -- it was a deisel with a turbo -- small hole cut in the hood for the turbo -- My thought was it might have been a repower with a combine motor -- 6 cyl. -- ran real nice -tin was straight too- Allis guru;s chime in with Your thoughts on this thing - is it a combine motor that had the turbo? and would it fit in a D17? this dude knew nothing about it other than He picked it up cheap and the price He offered it to me was 2750 -- deal?? give Me some of Your thoughts -- thanks --Roy

Im not sure but the 17 was a 6 cylinder and they used the same motor in the d 19 the only difference was the 19 had a turbo . seen a few 17 with turbo on. Also the 19 was the first turbo tractor

D17 diesels had a 262" engine in them, but no turbo.....
