Another Model T...

At least I think it is a Model T! This one belonged to my grandfather. It was a company truck. The name on the side, partially obscured, is Creston Tea House, which was the name of his business. I have no idea on the year of the truck. That is him standing in front and my grandmother sitting in the truck. He died not long after the photo was taken. The photo was taken in Grand Rapids, MI where they lived and operated the business. My whole family is from that area.

Not sure what those were in the background here. Family reunion 1923. They wouldn't have been A's,but might be another brand.

Great picture ..... just think, those days are gone forever and without the benefit of photos, would be easily forgotten. There were a few cars that were referred to as "world cars"..... they could be seen often in any corner of the planet. The first one was the model T I think, then the the VW Bugs ...... and then I would add the Honda Civics from the 70's. You couldn't drive a block without seeing one it seemed. The other vehicle that might be added to that list are old 70's Toyota pickup trucks ..... every photo from the middle east, still even today, has at least one in the photo (with rifles in the back window).

Believe this is a model T also. My Grandfather is at the wheel, two Aunts and three Uncles along for the ride. Not sure of the man in the back. I never noticed before but my Grandfather appears to be holding a dog.

That's a 1915 Model T.

You can tell by the rear fenders curving over the wheels. Through 1914 the rear fenders were flat on top, the reverse of the front ones.

I was scanning that looking for kin. Thought I might solve your farm legacy problem....you could leave it to me! :)

That is good to know, thanks! I would sure like to own one like it and restore it to look like his! That year supports the info I have that he died of the flu a few years after. Not only did he die, but he was written up in the Grand Rapids paper because he predicted on his death bed that his brother would die also. And his brother did die...the very same day. I have the article in my files.
