2140 On The Snowblower

Some video of today's first attempt at snowblowing with the John Deere 2140 and McKee 6 foot snowblower. Its the same blower I've run with the Cockshutt 40 for the past 40 years and only rated for 45 hp. So I'm not pushing it too hard as this tractor is rated about 70 pto hp. Its sure different and there is no shortage of horsepower. Have to say the old 40 is a little more comfortable and easy to drive. That little John Deere is pretty cramped for space on the platform with the big winter boots.

(quoted from post at 04:25:25 03/08/18) You could weld some wings on each side of the blower, to make it as wide as the tractor, and funnel the snow into the auger. Or maybe you don't need to blow snow often enough to bother.
Hoping I won't need to use it much. Last winter I never took the blower out of the shed. The tractor is not really noticeably wider than the blower.
