I saw that played out with an old school mate.

Started out with a 4x4 stuck at the city nature center, wasn't supposed to be there in the first place.

Next were 2 more 4x4's, then the heavy equipment came, all stuck...

Then the police came. Tickets issued, trespassing, property damage, alcohol consumption, towing fees, vehicles impounded...

No telling what that ended up costing his parents!

While it’s fun to look at the picture doesn’t make sense. The tractors are pointed in three different directions. Why would the two helper tractors be in those positions in the middle of the pond if they came in to pull the sprayer tractor? Then again, there might have been rookies involved. Or vandalism?

I worked for a man that got a bulldozer stuck, then the one he brought in to pull got stuck, then a third from another contractor working in the same pit. They all started out in line but wound up parked like a triangle. You need to listen to a song by Corb Lund called,Truck got stuck.Fits that situation exactly. He has a lot of good songs about farming in Canada.Another song of his,Tool for the job, fits too.

While I can't speak for that exact pic, we had a similar experience up here a few years back. Had a neighbor-lady who, I swear, could get a D-9 Cat stuck on pavement! Well, this time she was pulling a large implement over what appeared to be firm ground. Really, was only solid on the top couple of feet, then soft under that. Guess she wasn't too familiar with the ground surface being that solid, as it's usually mushy to the surface.

Anyway, she was in an older Case 4wd tractor. Called another neighbor who brought up a small dozer -- stuck. Then another neighbor who brought his JD FWA tractor. Just about had it stuck also. They finally abandoned the effort and called in yet another neighbor who had really BIG equipment, including a couple of huge excavators. Last I heard, even they had to wait for a few weeks before coming out.

We had taken a pic back then, but have no idea where the pics are now -- probably on an older PC buried somewhere upstairs. Anyway, the Case 4wd had about 1/3 of the tires sticking out of the ground, if that tells ya' anything. And yes, the Case, the dozer and the JD were all facing different directions!

I used to work at a tiff (barite) mining operation. That was a strip mining operation, and one day that got a D6 stuck working on the dike, and tried to pull it out with one of the large Euclid haul trucks, and got it stuck. It took them half a day to walk a drag line over to the area, but it pulled them out with no trouble.

Look closer- the two tractors in front tried to back up to the stuck sprayer tractor. Sometimes dirt under water may be firm, but I would have found some really long cables....

Yeah... long ago my brother got his Dodge stuck real good out in the back field trying to impress a fine-looking friend of my wife-to-be. I threw a snatch strap in the back of my truck and reportedly was heard to have said "Heck, I won't even have to get out of the truck for this one!" As you can probably guess, we all walked home that night. Ok - there might have been alcohol involved. 8)
