Farmall H Fuel Pump

Hello, I help a neighbour rebuilt tractors and we have a Farmall H with a fuel pump. Most tractors have the spot just below the carburetor but no pump. Some say the engine might be from another machine. Where could we start looking? Thanks

Maybe from a combine where the tank would of been mounted below the carburetor.

More likely a U-4 power unit engine.

Unless I'm missing something here, it would seem like the easy route would be to convert it to gravity feed like original and craft a block off plate for the fuel pump hole.

At one time I had a army mule that had. Transmission was bad so I sold the engine. That said if this is in a H tractor and using the stock fuel tank no reason to keep using that pump just hook it up gravity feed and leave the pump on as a block off plate

Yes. Stationary power unit. Maybe an irrigation pump.
