In my time there, it seemed like March was usually the worst. Half of that might have been the anticipation of spring, and then the "dream crusher" snow of 40 inches!

They say that about pretty much everywhere. I wish they would just stop saying it.
 
Reminds me of MI when I was a kid. We recieved 4ft of snow one night three the next day. Always wondered why the old houses had second story doors with now porch.
 
We certainly get some weather up in these parts (central Alberta) but never those kinds of snowfalls. We always pride ourselves on our winter driving skills but really, nothing close to what happens down east.

i'll second that crazy horse, usually we get dry fluffy snow not the heavy wet stuff those guys get!
 
A few years ago when I was still trucking I used to cross the Peace Bridge very regular, one night in a snow storm I pulls up to the customs booth and the U.S customs agent says 'Welcome to Buffalo where it snows every day'

We got about 30" last Friday and as you say more predicted tonight. Glad I finally got my 656 tire fixed and the blower on late last Thursday! I got the wiper and lights fixed last night so maybe I can see a little better this week.
Im in Madison County NY.

This is how far I got into my driveway last Friday afternoon. Storm was far from over then. Made it about 100 feet before getting stuck. Snow was pretty heavy stuff.
