Did Someone Mention Snow

Got about 32" here in Schoharie Co., NY yesterday.
The good thing...we did not get the wind some places did.
To keep it tractor related, there's an Allis D-17 in one of these pictures.

We got 42" last year at the end of March.
I was on vacation in St. Martin at the time and missed that one. The roads were all bare by noon today.
That's the good thing about getting snow this time of year.

Loren, my Dad called these March storms "sap snow"....ever heard that term?

We received 10" which from what I see locally was on the heavy side for snowfall totals.

Sure makes for some beautiful pics though.
ttps://forumphotos.yesterdaystractors.com/photos/12046.jpg[/img]

My papa Cardinal adds some real beauty to this snow picture.
Took this picture out my kitchen window yesterday morning.
I love the contrast between his beautiful red coat and the pure white snow.
The picture would have been clearer if it were not for all those snowflakes getting in the way. LOL

Oh yes, that term has been around as long as I have. It is also known as poor mans fertilizer.
We are going to have a real mess when this stuff starts melting, The road ditches are full of this wet packey stuff, and the water will be in the roads.

It should be fun when you and your relatives are tapping trees and gathering sap. We here in far NNY did not get much snow, just a dusting which is mostly gone now. However we are happy for you and the good people who love that stuff.

Looks as if The weather Channel was dead on this time. The whole east
coast got pretty messed up. New England is going without power till
tuesday in some areas. Down here in SJ I got a whole 3" but a lot of
wind . Neighbor had a big tree come down. Sitting at 43? at 11AM. SE
Pennsylvania has power out all over the place. Several costal areas
had super tides. I think weather channel did pretty good. This photo
is of my new toy yesterday morning. All three wet inches. Mostly
melted by one or two in the afternoon.

We got just a bit of rain, and a few flurries, but one hail of a lot of wind. We had 16 fire calls, trees down, and three cars
of a train blown off the trestle down near Havre de Grace. The bridges over the Susquehanna were closed for some time, and some
folks spent several hours trying to get home Friday due to road closures. We had a shutter and some siding come off, but were
lucky....The rain went south off us, and the snow went north!!!
