Make a tunnel with hand cutters and saws for the car. Believe it or not, I don't think there is a scratch on the thing. Driving out to the farm now to get the chain saw.

No, fortunately or the power would have gone out. As it is trees were falling all night from snow weight. Glad to have lights etc.

Too bad about your tree, Dave! It seems to have come down just about where I parked when I dropped off our taxes. I've had many Box Elders come down and do damage, especially in the summer when they have leaves on them and a wind comes up. They're not very strong. I hope your damage is minimal.

Thanks John! Been waiting for it to go. When I built this house way back when and put in the garden that tree came up as a seedling. I tore out the rest but left that one. I was young and knew nothing of box elders. So that tree is about 30 years old, about two feet in diameter. A male box elder because I cut down all the females years ago to get rid of the bugs. I am almost thru to the top of the SMTA now. Taking a break. I will know in an hour how it did. Once the tractor is clear I will put it on charge and see can I get it out of there. Then I will call it a day and finish up tomorrow.
