O/T Fire Engine

Since you've been posting pictures of your models, I thought I'd show you a fire engine I made for my Dad. Most of the parts are maple that I either stained or dyed. My favorite part was making the working extension ladders. I cut dovetails on the inner and outer rails so they slide . You may recognize the nozzle on the hose is a grounding crimp sleeve. I need to make another windshield someday. My Dad really liked it and I got it back after he died.

Very nice, was your dad a fireman or maybe he just liked fire trucks or models, etc. Nothing like a home-made gift.
